Please join us for a roundtable discussion on the Youth, Peace and Security agenda and its intersections with the Women, Peace and Security agenda. Experts will examine the genesis and significance of the YPS agenda (UNSCR 2250) as well as the 2018 report of the UN Secretary-General on Youth, Peace and Security. We will highlight and discuss the conceptual, political and practical challenges of this agenda, including commonly held assumptions with regard to youth, the role of gender, and masculinities.
The Gender, Peace and Security series explores the gender dimensions of current global and regional security challenges. The roundtables provide a forum for bringing together a diverse group of experts and policymakers to advance gender considerations in security policy deliberations. The series is made possible thanks to the generous support of the Embassy of Liechtenstein.
